What Nodeable Does
Understand the core purpose of Nodeable, how the workspace model works, and why view-based design matters.
What Nodeable Is
Nodeable is a shared workspace for modeling software systems, collaborating on design, and keeping architecture decisions connected to the model.
Core Concepts
- Workspace: A team container for projects.
- Project: A system or product area inside a workspace.
- Branch: A working copy for a focused change, review, or experiment.
- Unified: The main branch canvas for viewing and arranging the system model.
- Sub-view: A focused canvas within Unified, such as Brainstorm, Flow, or Architecture.
Unified is the top-level canvas; Brainstorm, Flow, and Architecture are sub-views within it, not separate top-level views. Other work areas, including Planning, Data Grid, and Wiki, serve different tasks.
Typical Workflow
- Create a workspace and project.
- Open a branch for a focused change.
- Model in Unified and use its sub-views to focus on ideas, behavior, or structure.
- Review the branch with collaborators, then refine or share the resulting design.
Start with the first workspace guide, then explore the views overview and node types reference.
