Interactive Design Reviews
Create anchored review threads directly on the canvas, track blocking feedback, and drive merge readiness.
Design Reviews let teammates leave context-aware feedback in the Unified canvas and track whether open feedback blocks a branch merge.
Start a Review Thread
- Open the branch's Unified view.
- Choose Reviews in the top-left Unified control panel.
- Choose New Canvas Thread to comment on the canvas, or select a node and choose New Node Thread to anchor feedback to that node. The node-thread action is disabled until a node is selected.
- Add a comment. Use the Blocking option to mark feedback that must be addressed before merge.
- Resolve a thread when its feedback has been addressed; reopen it if needed.
The review panel can show resolved threads and focus the canvas on a thread's location. For view navigation see Views overview; for efficient navigation see Keyboard shortcuts.
Merge Behavior
An open blocking review thread blocks merging. The branch header displays the unresolved blocking-thread count and disables the merge action until those threads are resolved. Non-blocking threads do not prevent merge.
